Day 20
Today is a really great day we observed other teachers and how they used and selected different technology components into their website. Watching others and listening to their ideas are really helpful. I can see how integrating technology in the 21 century is a vital part of our educational system. I feel that this workshop has enhanced my educational experience as a teacher. The concepts we have been taught will also make teaching easier.

Day 18

Day 18

We have spent most of the day working on canvas and Padlet. There are so many steps to each program. Out of all the programs today The canvas education section for teachers and students was really helpful. This will make the workload for teaching easier to manage. It is so much like black board, but better. The Padlet program will also be great to use because teachers and students can create a variety of programs and insert charts and graphs.

Day 17

Today was really long we completed our Flat Stanley video which was fun. I enjoyed watching the groups recording of Flat Stanley. The video program is really neat to use. The kids really would enjoy producing a video project like this. We also worked on lesson plans today, which is boring and long.

Day 16

Day 16 Today we worked on preparing a video of Flat Stanley. It was really hot walking around, but funny and fun. Afterwards we wrote persuasive letters on B.Y.O.D. to our district. Then we ended by working on our lesson plans. This session got a little tedious, but I made it through the task. I Hope tomorrow will be a brighter day. Just got bad news we can't have our artwork framed which is part of the class. This really makes me mad!

Day 15

DAY 15 I really enjoyed working on prezi and the video activity. I believe the students would really enjoy applying these techniques in the room. Also the guest foe economics were really informative and gave a list of resources that will be available for teachers to use. We received a lot of information this week.

Day 14

Day 14 was an exciting day. We worked on Socratic website and learned how teachers can use this site to assess students understanding and gather data as an evaluation tool. We also worked in teams to compete. This is a really great activity for teachers and students. We also completed our web quest for students and learned how to post the site for our students. Art class was also great we are finally able to see our art projects take on form. I look forward to seeing the end result.

Day 13

Today was a smooth day we worked on power point presentations and uploading video's. We also closed the day

out with creating a web quest for students. Even though we have not completed the process it was fun. The time

went really fast.

Day 12

Day 12 Today was a really long day due to the technology component. It was challenging, but , not so bad. Ii really was interesting to see how many different ways students can use the internet to create stories and other devices.

GAETI Day 11

Today was a great day we evaluated the effectiveness of bringing your own device (BYOD) and 1:1.

This was helpful in helping teachers understand the importance of technology use in the schools and

focus on the pros and cons. We were also enlightened by district personnel from Madison county on

the effectiveness of technology in that district. This is a new generation and the old ways of teaching

using paper and pencil will no longer meet the educational needs of students today.

Day 10 Gaeti

Today was an average day; we listen to a guest speaker discuss historical information and misconception people have about Native American's based on media and misconceptions taught. The museum observation are getting old when you visit the same exhibit each year. The information was great, but the departments all select the same events to visit. I really did enjoy working on my art presentation because it helps me relax after a long morning.

Day 9 GAETI

Today way very good we were introduced to live binder and learned how we could use technology to help students get information for assignments they may have missed. The kid blog was also a unique tool for students to use. Ms. Lathan shared how she gave students' topics to blog about which seem to be a great way to help students gather their thoughts and write. We were also taught how to help students sign up for google docs and have their work edited. They no longer need jump drives which are really great

Day 8 GAETI

Day 8 Today the art section was the best event it has been really nice to just focus on connecting art with the subjects we will be teaching. The only regrets I have is that the session is not long enough. I also enjoyed the TBL, which reminds me of problem based learning. It is a very meaningful lesson which helps one understand how important it is to plan lessons that are rich and meaningful.

Day 2 GAETI

Today was a very exciting day; we started off using Google map and Google earth. I can see how this technology can be used to help teach geography using technology. Students can easily use the information to create maps and give directions. They can also create tables and charts from information on the maps. The afternoon section allows teachers to scaffold students learning using technology to integrate math, science, and history. After using technology students take the information and use application to demonstrate their understanding of the materials covered. Time lines and themes of geography were created based on the data and math conversions from charts. This activity was really unique.

Day 7 GAETI

The two technology tools, I would most likely used that were modeled today would be the Kahoot web site and the board game. They are interactive and very teacher and student friendly. I really feel that the Kahoot site was very beneficial because it allows teachers to create their own activities or use other interactive lessons. The site gives great feedback using data from the class responses. The text resources for lesson plans is also beneficial when creating lessons The information gathered today can be easily incorporated in classrooms.

Day 5 GAETI

Day 6 workday was on the mind teasers and grant writing. The mind teasers were conducted by the highway patrol and demonstrated just how impaired a person's mind is when they are under the influence of substance and how this causes individuals to become a danger to themselves and others. Fund me .com and Donors choose to write grants to receive classroom resources. This information was helpful in helping teachers write grants to gain the resources needed to improve teaching.

Day 6 CAETI

Day six was a really unique science activity that allows students to use hands on application. The RIDES programs offer strategies and techniques to help students become college and career ready by developing lessons that allow them to use application, analysis, and synthesis to enhance learning. I am really impressed and look forward to attending this workshop.
The Wordle and Poll every where are also great resources that will allow teachers and students to have interactive lessons using technology. Teachers can get a lot of feedback from students and use this information to create a word cloud.

Day 4 GAETI

Day 4
Toady we  visited the coal mine and learned how they work with TVA to transfer coal to energy. This trip was very informative and help one to see the importance of conservation. The resources used in the activity are very useful tools that can be used to demonstrate these concepts in a science unit on natural resources.

Day 3 GAETI 2015

The activities today included great instructional resources. The scavenger hunt uses the navigational system and is a great activity to teach students how to input data into navigational systems to help them locate information needed to solve problems. There are multiple objectives that can be covered at one time. Students must work together and use clues to find the information needed for their next adventure. The second section focused on finding educational online resources that were meaningful and evaluating the quality of the activity. The online resources are available in all subject areas. It is very important for teachers to identify how they can enrich students learning.
